Wendyi Poitier-Albury

President

Wendyi has worked at giving service practically all of her life and became involved in advocacy for the elderly and those affected by dementia and Alzheimer's because of the disease affecting her in-laws.

 

Her interest was further piqued when she was made chair of the committee on Alzheimer awareness in the local chapter of her sorority, and successfully lead island wide Alzheimer awareness activities.

C. Denise Pratt

Secretary

C. Denise Pratt has been serving in the communications and education sectors for over two decades.  She currently serves as the Secretary and a Director of The Bahamas Alzheimer’s Association. 

An avid reader, she enjoys reading autobiographies and nature walks.  She is a supporter of the local libraries and encourages persons to find innovative ways to inspire our citizenry to cultivate a love of reading. 

She believes the written word can serve as a catalyst to increase wisdom and will ultimately provide an opportunity for us to fully maximize our God given gifts.

Jenna Christie

Marriage & Family Therapist

Jenna Christie is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has experience in treating adults and adolescents facing various individual and family challenges. She has experience working in the New Jersey education system and in one of Philadelphia’s top psychiatric hospitals.

 

Additionally, she has worked in Orlando Health Hospital and with Florida’s hospice/end of life care. She is currently the Mental Health Therapist Grand Bahama.

Dr. Indira Grimes

Dr. Indira Minus-Grimes is a Bahamian hailing from the island of Grand Bahama. She is the daughter of educators, a wife and mother. She is a physician specialized in Family Medicine and Gerontologist.

William Higgs

Minister

Bill was born in Harbour Island and grew up in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera, moving to Nassau to attend High School, which then became home.

 

He studied in Kingston, Jamaica at United Theological College of the West Indies  and University of the West Indies, and also in Florida, USA at Bethune-Cookman University.
